Seven Months of Exile and Emergence
Malibu, California — November 2025
The journey began in a tent on the edge of Malibu. One month of living exposed to the elements, not by choice but by circumstance — discrimination and persecution forcing a retreat into survival mode.
Kauai, Hawaii — December to March
The forest became home for five months. A tent beneath the canopy, a fragile shelter against relentless hostility. White supremacists prowled the streets, and a corrupt police force compounded the danger.
Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangkok — April
With a repatriation loan finally paid and a passport in hand, the journey shifted overseas. A single night in Tokyo, a week in Shanghai, and three weeks in Bangkok. Each city offered a glimpse of freedom, yet the shadow of injustice lingered.
Ho Chi Minh City — May 2026
Now, the story turns. A fully furnished apartment, privacy, and the simple joy of eating a seafood pancake without fear. For the first time, a space unshared, unviolated, and undeniably one’s own.
Closing Reflection
This seven-month odyssey is more than a travelogue. It is a testimony of survival against systemic oppression, ending in a reclamation of humanity.
